Why
do we do this?
- It is a
command of Jesus himself
- It is to
remember Jesus life, death and resurrection and ascension
- It is a
sign of the new covenant
- It announces
that Jesus died for us
- It is only
until He comes again
|
|
|
|
-
We
break some bread and pour out wine
-
We
give thanks to God for them
-
We
eat some of the bread and drink wine
-
We
think about Jesus his life given for us
-
We
give thanks to God for Jesus death
-
We
remember all the blessings that we have because Jesus died for our
sins on the cross to make us his own people
|
What preparation
do we need?
-
We
should examine ourselves.
-
Do
I know Jesus as my Saviour and Lord?
-
We
can become Christians now if we confess Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9)
-
Am
I obeying Jesus in my life?(1 John 1:7)
-
If
we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us
our sins and to cleanse us from all our wrong doing. (v9)
