In response to speculation in the media, Churches Together in Cinderford and Heywood Community School put out the joint statement on Tuesday 24th May: "Everyone appreciates the tremendous efforts and energy that teachers are making to improve local education. Churches Together are working with local schools and the local council to explore options to secure additional investment for education in the town of Cinderford that will bring further benefit to local children, families and the town community. We are not in the business of raising expectations that we cannot deliver. Consequently it would be inappropriate for us to comment further at this time."
