Friday 30th March - Street Pastors Commissioning Service:

Cinderford Street Pastors were commissioned at a packed service on Friday 30th March. All eleven volunteers, from the various churches across the town, received their caps, a certificate and a New Testament Bible during the service which was headed up by our own inimitable Kev White. Various people took part in the service and Mark Harper MP, Police Sergeant Denise Meredith and Councillor Di Martin all voiced their support for the inter-denominational initiative which is all about showing God’s love and compassion on the streets.

The next night saw a team of 4 Street Pastors taking to the streets for the first time from 8pm to 1am dressed in their distinctive blue uniforms. Each weekend a team of pastors will patrol the streets of the town on a Saturday evening to offer support and a listening ear to anyone who needs it.
