Missions Trip - Philippines 2009

Message from Duncan Murray, one of the team, added 30th December:

Hi All,
We will do you a deal, you send us some snow and we will send you the sun. It is so hot here, gloat! that we are wilting a little.

Christmas day was spent on the beach, as you know; it was a great day for All. Another first, we had turkey on the beach!

So to work, so far we have done ten services, we have given testimonies, done open the book and a talk. The differences in the churches are vast. From humble shacks to one quite new church, with a single pastor! The one thing in common is their love and faith which puts ours to shame, really!

We have just come back from Liloy and Ipil, which was for three days. We saw the Orphans there, and gave out the gifts. I have to say, they put our kids to shame, they were so grateful, with the little gifts. Each one recited a memory verse before the gift was given. It was a special moment.

The guards were really receptive too; one of them came close to the open window and listened. He said later how kind we all were, so maybe this is a seed. Please pray for him.

Today we are on a day off! And Pappa has a full programme for the last few days. We will split up on Sunday so please pray.

Can you also get people to pray for cars. Joshua's car has almost had it. We have a glorious God with such wealth, we need to channel for this purpose.

So far at every talk we have "cast the net" and the response has been amazing, some for salvation, but mostly healing. We feel so privileged to pray with them all.

We have had a special prayer time for Johnathan (Duncan's main interpreter) who has a growth on his neck. It was a powerful time so please pray for him. Also Pappa too has a bad leg, so please pray.

So we will see you in a week!
Best Regards
Duncan Murray
